October is Learning Disabilities (LD) Awareness Month. To raise awareness of Learning Disabilities, we will be having daily trivia questions this week. Each day will be a new question. All students are encouraged to put in a ballot. Ballot box is in the office and the draw will take place at the end of the school day. Prize winners will receive a $10 Tim Horton’s card.
Congratulations to Lilla Johnston who was yesterday's trivia winner. Lilla knew that the most common LD affecting over 15% of children is Dyslexia. Lilla please see Mrs. Cousins for your prize.

The blood chug will take place Thursday, at 12:00 in the cafeteria. Teams of four will compete. The first 8 teams who sign up on the sheet located by the trophy case outside the office will participate.
Get your costume ready as Friday will be our Halloween dress up day. There will be individual prizes for the two best dressed in each grade, and there will be prizes for the best dressed pair, trio, and group (of four or more people) in the whole school. Students are reminded you are not to have any weapons or replica weapons. Also, you will still be required to wear a non-medical mask with your costume during break times.

The Boys soccer team goes for a bronze medal on Friday at 5:15 at the Terry Fox complex in Cornwall. Best of luck.
The KISHORA girls defeated Three Oaks 4-0 on Monday in the provincial semi-final. Charlotte Schofield led the way with two goals and Kate Bell scored. Bri Hughes had the shutout in net. Gold Medal game at the Terry Fox field Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Players are expected to be there and warming up at 8:30 a.m.
Ms. McCarthy and Lori are starting up a GSA group and we want to invite everyone who is interested in participating. You don't have to be part of the LGBT2S community, maybe you want to learn more, or explore who you are. If so, starting today please join us from 11:20-12:05 on Wednesdays in the Resource Room. Bring your lunch and a friend!
Blazer buds group will be carving pumpkins on Thursday from 3-4 in the Resource Room. Everyone is welcome, please sign up in the office. Listen for further announcements on Blazer Buds after school groups. Blazer Buds is also having a lunch group, The Blazer Buds Baking Club! It will start on Monday, Nov 1 from 11:20-12:10 in the foods lab, upstairs and will run until Christmas. Please sign up weekly in the office, spaces will be limited.
